Successively the Incumbent at Hedon then Wheldrake 〔The Times, Thursday, Apr 24, 1873; pg. 13; Issue 27672; col D ''Ecclesiastical Appointments.-Rev. C. E. Camidge To be Vicar of Wheldrake''〕 he became Rural Dean of Thirsk in 1883.
